A platform hidden in the forest.

A raised space, open to the forest and protected from the rain, made for privacy, on a cacao farm in Utuado.

This is the Bohío.

You sleep in a queen bed with a mosquito net, among coquí frogs and fireflies, with the creek's waterfall sounding below. There's wifi, though people come here to disconnect.

GLAMPING BOHÍO

What's included.

INCLUDES  Queen bed with a mosquito net, outdoor hot spring water shower, composting toilet, towels, solar power, fan, hammock and use of the shared kitchen.

PRICE  $100 a night for 2 adults.

MORE THAN 2  Up to 4 people (2 children max). We have 2 cots with sleeping bags, $25 per cot. It's a bit snug.

DEPOSIT  $50 per night, non refundable. The night can be moved if you let us know in advance.

ADD  A massage over the creek, a dip in the river or the earthen tub with hot spring water ($30).

GOOD TO KNOW  The shared kitchen is a 4 minute walk away, across the creek. It isn't for anyone afraid of spiders or the dark.

CHECK IN  Check in after 2:00 p.m. Check out at 12:00 p.m.

WHAT TO BRING  Your personal things and outdoor shoes that can get wet.

Dogs and pets

Our guard dogs bark when someone arrives and they don't get along with other animals. That's why we can't host pets.

Carr. 123 km 48.8, Barrio Altos de Arenas, Utuado, Puerto Rico.

15 minutes from the town of Utuado. You'll need a car.
