A round clay house, handmade in the middle of the forest on a cacao farm in Utuado. Double bed, for up to 4 people.
This is the Casita.
We built it by hand with clay, sand and hay, like a big sculpture. The green roof is bamboo and a skylight lets in the forest light. There's no air conditioning, just a fan, and it doesn't need it: the adobe is thermal and keeps it cool. It has a private bathroom with a hot spring water shower, the shared kitchen is right next door and the creek is a minute away.

What's included.
INCLUDES Double bed, private bathroom with a composting toilet, hot spring water shower, fan and use of the well equipped shared kitchen: drinking water, coffee, fridge, stove, dishes and utensils. The kitchen is shared with other guests.
PRICE From $125 a night for 2 people.
MORE THAN 2 Up to 4 people (2 children max). We have 2 cots with sleeping bags, $25 per cot. It's a bit snug.
DEPOSIT $50 per night, non refundable. The night can be moved if you let us know in advance.
ADD A massage over the creek, a dip in the river or the earthen tub with hot spring water ($30).
CHECK IN Check in after 2:00 p.m. Check out at 12:00 p.m.
WHAT TO BRING Just your personal things.
GOOD TO KNOW The floor is earth with natural lime and it's soft: step gently. It's a deep immersion in the forest, so it isn't for anyone afraid of heights or spiders.

Dogs and pets
Our guard dogs bark when someone arrives and they don't get along with other animals. That's why we can't host pets.
